is a quiet and relaxed Bar and Restaurant located right on the beach at Boca Chica, Dominican Republic. We are proud of our reputation providing professional, friendly and courteous service
We have a full Menu and offer well displayed reasonable prices on both food and drinks.
Consumption Tickets, a form of pre-payment, are available to all, providing aproximately 15% discount on almost all drinks. Used Tickets are added to a raffle drawn at the end of the month, and the winner receives a free ticket.
"Happy Hour" is 6:00 to 7:00 PM Mondays to Fridays, and 8:00 to 9:00 PM Saturdays & Sundays. Domestic drinks are 2 for 1, it's the best deal in town.
WI FI provided free of charge for Customers 24/7.
We provide high quality streaming Internet Radio: Classic & Modern Rock, including Radio Hauraki of New Zealand, during the daytime, and Classic Blues, includng Bellyup4blues, during the evening.
Furthermore, we provide Sports on TV, including European and Latin American Football, Rugby and American NFL, on highest quality "Claro TV", a free book exchange, and a Pool Table,
Hurricane Dean passed about 100 miles south of our location in the Dominican Republic on August 18, 2007.
The associated storm surge and sea swells pounded on our shoreline, and the original "Boat Bar" was destroyed, as well as other property damage. We prepared a "provisional" Bar, and were open within 24 hours, and later a new Bar was built.

Location
THE BOAT HOUSE is located at Calle Duarte #34, the Main Street, on the beach at Boca Chica. It is approximately 120 meters west of the western wall of the Hotel Hamaca.
Boca Chica is just 10 minutes by car from Las Americas International Airport, and just 20 minutes from the Capital City, Santo Domingo.
There is a Bus Stop within 50 meters where Express Buses pass, destined towards both eastern and western townships.
Geography
The Dominican Republic occupies the eastern two-thirds of Hispaniola Island, which it shares with Haiti, and is the second largest country in the Caribbean comprising an area of 18,712 square miles (48,484 square kilometers). It is bordered on the North by the Atlantic Ocean, and the South by the Caribbean Sea.
